Kualapuu is a village and region of Molokai that includes the middle section of the island north of Kaunakakai and east of Maunaloa, continuing into Molokai Forest Reserve / Kalaupapa National Historic Park. Kalae Highway leads past the village and continues north towards Kalaupapa Lookout.
Many landmarks are found in this area, including Molokai Museum and Cultural Center, Kalaupapa Lookout, Kalaupapa trail, and Ironwood Hills Golf Club.
Molokai Airport is a 10-minute drive from the quiet village center of Kualapuu. The village was once centered around a cannery associated with Del Monte Foods. It includes Kualapuu Cookhouse, Friends and Coffee, and Coffees of Hawaii. Continue northwest on Farrington Highway and you’ll reach Hoolehua in a few minutes. Molokai’s main town of Kaunakakai is a 10-minute drive south with shopping, restaurants, and Molokai’s boat harbor.
